Environmental Chemistry Letters

Impact Factor: 15.7

Environmental Chemistry Letters is the official journal of the European Association of Chemistry and the Environment and was first published in 2003. Its first impact factor in 2008 was 1.4 and has raised now to 15.7 in 2022 !

Environmental Chemistry Letters is located at the interfaces of geology, chemistry, physics and biology. Articles are of high importance to the study of natural and engineered environments. Environmental Chemistry Letters publishes articles of outstanding significance in the following fields:

  • Characterisation of natural and perturbed environments
  • Behaviour, prevention, treatment and control of mineral, organic and radioactive pollutants
  • Interfacial studies involving media such as soil, sediment, water, air, organism, and food
  • Green chemistry, environmentally friendly synthetic pathways, and alternative fuels
  • Ecotoxicology and risk assessment
  • Environmental processes and modelling
  • Environmental technologies, remediation and control
  • Environmental analytical chemistry, biomolecular tools and tracers e.g. stable isotopes

Environmental Chemistry Letters is now indexed in SCIE, Current Contents Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences, Current Contents Physical Chemical and Earth Sciences, Web of Science.

Accepted articles are available online as soon as the manuscript proofs have been received. For details of the latest online articles click here.
